There’s always something intriguing about exploring new places and enjoying the scenery, whether you’re a tourist or a resident looking to get out more. All of these areas have their own signature draw that make them appealing and worth visiting. Here are a few places that may peak your interest around the city:
Northern Liberties used to be a manufacturing district that is now a hip neighborhood filled with nightlife and dining. Filled with a diverse set of bars, restaurants and boutiques, you’ll easily find something to do. For dining, NoLibs offers the best of both worlds with a bar, and is easily one of the best places to get authentic international cuisine.
Known as America’s most historic old square mile, you’ll find a hip crowd. Great eateries in the area include High Street on the Market, Prime Stache and The Gaslight. If you’re looking for nightlife, try the theater, free music performances or check out Panorama or Infusion Lounge.
Known as a signature district, there has always been a large residential presence in this area. If you’re looking to have a good time, try The Franklin Bar, Tria Taproom or Tippling Place. If food is on your mind, there are tons of places to get great food. Lacroix at The Rittenhouse, Devon Seafood Grill, and Hip City Veg are all popular places to go.
Ardmore is a diverse town in the middle of the suburbs but is known to offer some of the best shopping, dining and nightlife in the city. If you’re looking for an eclectic mix, Ardmore is one of those destinations. A few places to visit includes The Rust Nail and Melodies for night life, and The Beer Shoppe or Jules Thin Crust for eateries.
South of the city, this area is fondly called “G-Ho” and is full of vibrant activity. The pedestrian-friendly area has a number of restaurants, bars, cafes and more. You’ll find complete affordability in Graduate Hospital, and is one of the most popular locations for pubs. Some places you may want to visit include The Cambridge, My Thai, Doobie’s and Grace Tavern. Eateries include The Sidecar Bar & Grille, Pub & Kitchen, and Phoebe’s Bar-B-Q.
All of these locations are easily accessible by local transportation or within walking distance from one of the Carlyle properties, which makes it even better to get to your destination. These pedestrian-friendly areas add to the intrigue and accessibility of “having it all.” Being able to easily navigate the areas and still remain close to home is one of the perks of luxury high-rise living.
You’ll never get bored or run out of things to do no matter what time of day, night or season. You can always count on the best when you’re living in a Carlyle development. For information on available apartments in Philadelphia, click here.
