[shared_counts]Whether you’re moving to Philadelphia or already live here, you’re probably aware that the parks and green space throughout the city are a major attraction. From majestic and centrally located Fairmount Park to the banks of the Schuylkill River to the numerous neighborhood parks, Philly is a city where parks = fun.
There’s no better time and place to have fun in Philly’s parks than the third annual Parks on Tap. What’s Parks on Tap? It’s a traveling beer garden, with food and fun.
It happens from Wednesday to Sunday every weekend in June. (The full Parks on Tap season runs from April 26 to September 30, so if you miss it in June, there’s plenty of time to check it out later.)
Admission to Parks on Tap is free. Once you’re there, you can purchase food and drinks. The menu ranges from BBQ pork to Portobello bahn mi, and features delicious Philly favorites like pretzels and smoked kielbasa.
Beers, local ales, cocktails, and non-alcoholic beverages will be available.
Plus, there will be games to play and hammocks to swing in!
You’ll not only have a great time, you’ll be contributing to the community. Parks on Tap is sponsored by the Philadelphia Parks and Recreation Department, the Fairmount Park Conservancy, and ECM Hospitality, the group responsible for Morgan’s Pier and Concourse. All proceeds are used to fund Philadelphia’s parks.
